Every Texas property owner is a target for title theft.
Thieves don’t need your keys. They need a convincing fake ID, a forged signature and a closing that goes through before anyone notices.
Once a property is sold or borrowed against in someone else’s name, the real owner can spend months and thousands of dollars in court getting it back. Monitoring alerts tell you after the damage is done. TitleVerify Texas is built to stop the closing before it happens.
Owners we hear from most

Prevention, not just alerts
Most title monitoring services watch county records and email you after something is filed. TitleVerify Texas works at the closing table, where a theft actually turns into money.

Run by people who close Texas real estate every day
TitleVerify Texas was founded by a Texas real estate attorney with more than 30 years in banking, title and real estate. We know how closings work, so we know where title theft has to get through, and how to stop it there.
When a title company reaches out about your property, a real person on our team verifies you and responds.
Questions owners ask
Is this title insurance?
No. TitleVerify Texas is not insurance of any kind. It’s a verification service that requires your approval before a title company can close a sale or refinance of your property.
Will it slow down my own sale or refinance?
No. When your title company contacts us, we verify you and respond, usually the same business day. If you let us know ahead of time that you’re selling or refinancing, it’s even faster. And if we were ever unavailable, your agreement includes a backup procedure so you can approve the closing yourself.
What happens if someone else tries to sell my property?
The title company has to get approval before closing. We contact you to confirm. If you didn’t authorize it, there’s no approval and the closing can’t move forward. There’s no extra charge for verification that stops an unauthorized transaction.
Does it work if my property is owned by an LLC or a trust?
Yes. We’ll ask for the entity or trust documents that show who has authority to sign, along with the deed.
What do I need to enroll?
A copy of your deed, a government-issued photo ID for each owner, current phone numbers and email addresses, and entity or trust documents if they apply. You can also name an alternate contact to help us reach you, though only an owner can approve a closing.
Does TitleVerify Texas monitor county records?
No. Our service works before a closing, not after a filing. Many larger Texas counties offer free alerts when a document is filed in your name, and we encourage you to sign up for yours as well.
Does it stop every kind of fraud?
It works through title-company closings, which is where a stolen property is sold or borrowed against. It can’t stop someone from filing an unrelated forged document with the county outside of a closing, and it is not a guarantee against loss.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can end the service at any time, and you can approve a release whenever you sell or refinance. Your agreement explains how.
